Derbi Variant Sport GPS fun.

So tonight I decided to GPS my Derbi Flatreed after the I drilled the carb and intake to 15mm. It was funnnnnn and my top speed was 44.1 mph...not bad for a unmolested stock cylinder. I am currently running stock gearing of 13 x 33, 15mm dellorto sha with 75 jet with just a plastic shroud filter, 15mm intake, stock reeds, stock timing, stock clutch springs, stock head, stock cylinder, 2 weights taken out of the stock varo (yes there are 4 in there right now) and a derbi ninja circuit pipe with holes in it. I'm very satisfied at the moment with the performance seeing as all upgrades other than the pipe were free. With 2 weights removed the take off is similar to a kitted bike, but I think I may be missing out on a millimeter or two of varation. I totally soft seized it after I GPSed it though!! I was riding to the gas station and right when I hit the powerband, I realized the gas wasnt on and I came to a screeching stop hahaha. But it started back up and idles fine so WHATEVER!

Ps. I was wearing a treats shirt and I'm sure it helped.

RAT HOUSE - Ames Iowa

So I hadnt been to see my good buddy Nash Wiley for toooooo long and decided to go say whats up. Megabus tickets were $45 round trip and it was still super cold in Chicago, so it seemed like a good time to go. Nash lives in this rad 6 bedroom house called Rat House. It's a sweet Bike/Moto/Moped house with some rad dudes and rad projects living there. Max Ramos and Marc Seeman also hang, theyre some rad motoped (have motorcycles and mopeds)dudes. Ames Iowa is a college town and they live right by all the frats which is funny. Small town riding lifestyle is hilarious, really noone supports what you do. Whether it's the cops harassing you or your neighbor calling the cops at 3pm because you are reving a new build, it can be a bummer sometimes. I was once asked "hey mike, are all mopedders like you?" I replied "Well we all get called fags at stop signs and we are cool with that". That is so true in small places. To not get support by anyone but yourselves is what makes the scene there (and every small town) so awesome. Hung out with awesome dudes, watched movies, trolled the internet, played with mopeds, ignored everyone at bars for Big Buck hunter HD, you cant beat it.

MOD: Malossi Launch Lever on stock Peugeot cases.

So yea hey check it out, for $6 less (based on treats and 1977mopeds prices) than the polini lever and 5 mins of mods you can make this baby work with your puegeot 103 stock cases. Im poor so that sounds great to me. You may have heard this will work but I personally learn from photos better than words so here ya go. Also who doesnt like to grind stuff before you put it on your moped? Direct bolt ups are BORING. These pics were with stock Euro cases but I later put this on a stock USA case and it bolted up fine. Do some wheelies and look dumber than we already look in traffic! who knows, maybe some girl will show you her boobs!

HUGE Photo Update! CREATURES: Trick or Treat 2 Rally + West Coast Road Trip.

Huge update! WELLL I decided last minute to go to the Creature's rally in San Francisco. I sold a Peugeot clutch pulley and pipe to my buddy Marvin and bought my ticket. The flight was cool and I didn't have to sit next to any drunk or morbidly obese people. Stayed with Blk Blk Alex who is an angel sent from on high. Not only did she provide and nice quiet spot for me to sleep on the first 2 nights, she also loaned me her rad magnum for the weekend. I got to finally troll and hangout at Treats HQ! I hung out all day asking mundane questions about parts, I'm sure they were thrilled to have me there. Friday night ride was fast and rad. Jimmy and David got in a fender bender. The Saturday ride was awesome. I was late and missed the ride leaving. Thankfully Ace was at the spot and pointed in the direction the pack had gone. I was riding for probably 10 miles by myself playing a non-certain game of catch up. Finally I spotted everyone and jumped in the middle of it all. My friend Nikki (BANG! GANG!) hopped off a motorcycle and onto my bike. We had probably a 10 to 3 moped to motorcycle ratio on the ride. It's nice to have motorcycles to block traffic for you. The ride was pretty smooth and very hilly. At one point in the suburbs a cop started chasing us all, it was cool. Ultimately he ended up tackling a Seattle rider and taking him to jail. HAHA Oh God. The twisty turns were awesome along the way and there was only 1 gnar hill I couldn't make it up. The campsite was rad and in the forest. The motorcycles beat us there. From there: Food, Fire, Dildos, Beers, Red Bulls, Ballons, Dildo Contests, Burning Dildos, Allen going into a Black Flag K-hole, Maitland: Rally Bong, Zach Evans telling it how it is, Shrine Time, Laughing, Sleeping. Im typing too much. Amazing Rally you can see that in the pics. THX Mikey D, Allen, Alex, Benji, Creatures, Lateturds, Bengry, Nikki, Seth, ACE.
