Radium City Presents: Parks and Wreck 2: Don't Drink The Water.

SOOOO This weekend ruled! Will, Benji, Nicole and I headed to Ottawa IL for the second Radium City Riders rally. We only went up for Saturday becasue the drive is only an hour and a half! Which totally ruled for us because I needed a break from driving 15 hours to rallies. We arrived around noon and it was a beautiful day. Got geared up for the ride and HNRZ josh and I both snapped throttle our cables. So we got his car and just followed break down bus. We went to Starved Rock which ruled and the ride was super pretty. We got to skate leftover's sick ramp and see his moped collection too which was a nice little rally break. The night ride was also sweet! I cupcaked HNRZ Josh on a kitted Honda Elite that was supplied by my homie Rob Balk. WE WERE SHREDDING!!!! FOR REAL OMG. hahah. It was generally just a nice chill refreshing out-of-the-city rally. Def will attend next year! Cool dudes and cool rides! Also good jerb Logan Lions for showing up hard, Alex I'm happy your bike is ripping.

P.S. I got a a new camera finally! It's just a Nikon d3100 (got it for cheap cheap off craigslist) but I'm stoked to take good pics and video again.

Mid MO-town Classic IV: Mid MO-Peds Stay Wet!

Last weekend I headed to Columbia Missouri for the annual Mid-Mo rally. This was my 4th year venturing to this rally. I took megabus which was per usual a total shit show. The bus started leaking oil and had to head back to STL on the way to Como. Luckily my STL moped homies BETH and PHIL were headed to Como around the time I got back to STL on the megabus. Beth scooped me from the haggard truck stop we got taken to....well actually it wasnt that bad because the truck stop had a Taco Bell and Terminator 3 game. Got to Como and got weird with my Midwest (the real Midwest) friends. They had an 80 ft slipnslide! Great rides, great people and great Missouri moped laws. That's one reason I really enjoy Missouri rallies, you dont need tags or a license to ride a moped. You only need a helmet.... Sounds easy right? I thought it was too until I got straight arrested in the middle of the KC rally last year for not wearing one. Me - Yea I didnt know officer, I'm from Kansas! Officer - Actually you have a warrant for not wearing a helmet 2 years ago on this SAME STREET! Its ok I got bailed by the chica I had cupcaked on my Derbi and rejoined the ride 20 mins later. BACK TO THE COMO RALLY! It was awesome! Always is! Everyone go next year! Epic country blasting and good friends for life. Good seeing - MIDMO, STL survivors, Holy Rollers, Linda Green, ROB and the Illinois homies + everyone else.

 It's a Derbi PARTY

MOPED SUMMER 2012!

This is a video I made of my last few months of travelling. Locations include Portland, Seattle, Cincinnati, Minneapolis, Chicago, Denver, New York, and the middle of nowhere. Includes mopeds, skateboarding and being a transient.
Song Credit: Neon Indian - Polish Girl.
Documenting dumb things is fun and it's nice to be able to show my friends and family exactly what Ive been doing. This summer has been great so far and I've met so many great people. If you frequent rallies you may just be in this.

Also Vice Magazine did a little story on a trip we took last month, check it out here: http://www.vice.com/read/a-doomed-train-hopping-trip

NYC Mission 23: COME OUT TO PLAY: Part Too

So Mission 23 had a rally last weekend in Brooklyn... I had never been to New York so I was excited to go.  I rode up with HNRZ Wes and Will with 2 Derbis. It was a pretty relaxed drive and Will picked up a Colt with Morini 101 on the way. Traffic was so dumb once we arrived in the city, it took us 3 hours to get to Second Stroke (Brookyln moped shop).  The first night we rode to a bar in Manhattan. Crossing the bridge (there are so many, I forgot the name) at sunset was so cool! I was (and always am) in between the stock bikes and the kitted bikes with no one to high five about it. Albo took us to this killer dumpling place with 5 for a dollar deals, I think we all ate like 20 dumplings. Later that night I rode my bike back to Seth's house in what I later found out was a "baby hurricane". I am thankful I have a sweet waterproof rally bag, I recommend one to anyone who frequents rallies. The Saturday ride was cool although my points shat out. Will bought a Derbi C-5 and we did a varo mod, weakends pipe, and upjet before the ride.  Second Stroke is a great shop with a lot of cool and knowledgeable dudes on hand. Pete let me drive his Cushman around and that shit was tiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Great rally and great people. Good seeing Buzzards, M23, BANG!, Mammoth Mohawks, Sunset Riders, Swoops, Beans, LGN, MAGGIE, IAN, ALBO, ANGEL, AARON, MARK, and everyone else.
