NYC Mission 23: COME OUT TO PLAY: Part Too

So Mission 23 had a rally last weekend in Brooklyn... I had never been to New York so I was excited to go.  I rode up with HNRZ Wes and Will with 2 Derbis. It was a pretty relaxed drive and Will picked up a Colt with Morini 101 on the way. Traffic was so dumb once we arrived in the city, it took us 3 hours to get to Second Stroke (Brookyln moped shop).  The first night we rode to a bar in Manhattan. Crossing the bridge (there are so many, I forgot the name) at sunset was so cool! I was (and always am) in between the stock bikes and the kitted bikes with no one to high five about it. Albo took us to this killer dumpling place with 5 for a dollar deals, I think we all ate like 20 dumplings. Later that night I rode my bike back to Seth's house in what I later found out was a "baby hurricane". I am thankful I have a sweet waterproof rally bag, I recommend one to anyone who frequents rallies. The Saturday ride was cool although my points shat out. Will bought a Derbi C-5 and we did a varo mod, weakends pipe, and upjet before the ride.  Second Stroke is a great shop with a lot of cool and knowledgeable dudes on hand. Pete let me drive his Cushman around and that shit was tiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Great rally and great people. Good seeing Buzzards, M23, BANG!, Mammoth Mohawks, Sunset Riders, Swoops, Beans, LGN, MAGGIE, IAN, ALBO, ANGEL, AARON, MARK, and everyone else.

Moving around.

So my camera died and every time I goto the store I end up buying twizzlers and not batteries. I've left Austin and am heading back to Chicago. I stopped in Hutchinson Ks, Lawrence Ks, KC MO, COMO!, and am currently in Des Moines, IA. Got to see a TON of moped homies and it's great to have loaners all over the place. Got to see Kenden, Ryan Nash, and Nash Wiley, need I say more? Not to mention all the MIDMO, CT, BB friends. So headed to Chicago tomorrow with a pit stop to see my buddy Robert in IL to drop off some 5 stars. From Chicago I'll prob chill for 1 minute and then head to Nashville,  ahhhhh. Rally season rules! SO BUSY also with the help of MIDMO Ive been making and curing (in my car) derbi 3 roller custom weights. So when I match those with clutch springs and my Derbi Ninja pipe, I should have a great setup on my Laguna and be super reliable and close to stock. pics coming soon.

RANDOM MOPED PHOTOS #3 - Ciao, Batavus Mondial, SAPPORO BIKE?

SOOOO got a new camera, not too good but it will get me by. been super busy working on stuff and SXSW is happening right now. So its like 1,000,000 Bernies from weekend at Bernie's 2 congesting all of Austin. Got some good buddies on town right now. Brett from KC (Peugeot dude for life, doesnt like Puchs. I once saw him drop kick a magnum and made it into a step thru cause he hated it so much.). Benji (HNRZ prospect) and Hannah (his GF she's a cool babe) from Chicago are here running around somewhere. Funny story.... Tony from HNRZ told Benji that since I was in BLK BLK and Trifecta that he had to do whatever I said. So since I'm not a mean person, I just made him stand against a wall and we shot him with a slice of pizza out of a water balloon launcher. He took it like a champ and has received nothing but respect from me since! This week at the shop we got in a 1980 Batavus Mondial and a Sapporo moped, which I include photos of. Also we met with Doug Joseph who is the U.S. Tomos Sales Manager, he's a really rad and nice dude!

This is a Vespa Ciao that Jimbo is building for his Girlfriend. Keeping it simple. Euro lights heyhey!
